PlanetSide 2 Comes to PlayStation 4 On June 23
If you're a PlayStation 4 owner who's been eagerly anticipating the chance to play PlanetSide 2, your wait is almost over! On June 23, players in both North America and Europe will get to hit the battlefields of Auraxis for real, following a five-month beta period.
Director of Development Andy Sites cranks up the hype in a letter on the PlayStation site, calling out the streamlining process that was needed to get PS2 into a proper state for console and also introducing Koltyr, a battle map that will be exclusive to PS4 players for the time being. In the weeks following the PS4 launch, Sites promises "deeper features, holiday events and content, new in-game marketplace items, and much, much more." Best of all, you can play PS2 on PS4 for free, without even requiring PlayStation Plus membership.
