PlanetSide 2 Celebrates 10th Anniversary With Update Aimed At Improving Visuals, Balancing, And Adding Events
After ten years, players are still logging in to continue the good fight.
Rogue Planet Games has released its 10th anniversary patch for PlanetSide 2. The update mainly aims to push the "art style forward" with improved visuals and adds balance changes and weekend events.
After ten years, players are still logging into PlanetSide 2 to continue the war on Auraxis. In all that time, the game has aged and the developers decided now would be the time to give it a new coat of paint. That would include bringing the textures up-to-date, making the ocean more "ocean-y," and more to immerse their players.
As for balancing changes for this update, Rogue Planet implemented a nice list of additions that range from adding more cover in certain areas to allowing the Bastion Fleet Carrier to hasten attacks on enemy bases. PlanetSide 2 will also have double experience events for this weekend and the following. The catch is that All Access members will receive the boost.
