PIONER Shows Off Shooter MMO Gameplay At Future Games Show, Still No Beta Date
PC release is still on track for sometime this year.
Future Games Show revealed a trailer we didn't expect to see, but one that is certainly welcome. PIONER, the first-person, post-apocalyptic shooter MMO, dropped a new video showing off gameplay, some of the dark tone set by the game's narrative, and some pretty nifty-looking environments and monsters. The thing it didn't show off, though, was a beta date.
If you've been following this one, you'll know that PIONER takes place on a Soviet-era island called Tartarus and the team at GFA GAMES has been promising PVP, PvE, dungeons, and plenty of drama. However, you'll also know that this game was slated for release back in 2023. It was subsequently delayed to 2024 for "quality" reasons, and then was pushed into 2025 with almost no fanfare.
While the trailer does confirm that the PC release will still be sometime in 2025, it does not include any timing for a potential beta. You can wishlist the game on Steam, though. A console release is currently planned, but that'll come after the actual PC launch.
