Phantasy Star Online 2 Officially Launches On Xbox One, Plus PC Release Info Revealed
Today's the day! Phantasy Star Online 2 has officially launched in North America on Xbox One, leaving beta behind. To celebrate an event years in the making, SEGA has some in-game activities and launch additions ready for players. As of today, players already have two new Urgent Quests to attempt: "The Cunning Black Winged Vanguard" and "The False Champion: Luther the Fallen". New outfits and accessories have already been added to the game as well.
Event-wise, there's a special login-in bonus running until April 23rd as well as an event that will reward players who join an Alliance with at least four members before April 28th with a SG20 ticket. Alliances that earn at least 5,000 Alliance Points by that time will receive the Impromptu Tea Party emote. If that's not enough, the Cherry Blossom season is on its way and Quna will return for live concerts on the weekends.
In addition to launching PSO2 on Xbox One, SEGA has also revealed that PC players can expect the game fairly soon. There's not a specific date available yet, but the game should be exclusively available via the Microsoft Store in late May. Cross-play between both platforms will be available as soon as the PC version launches.
