Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis ver. 2 is now live!
SEGA has dropped a massie update for the MMORPG. One of the main features is the Creative Space, which allows players to edit their own island using Build Parts. These parts can be customized in terms of scale and color, and players can create unique buildings and terrains.
There’s also the Connect System, which enables players to link parts together and create interactive elements. Designs can be saved and shared with other players, and Genesis Points earned from tasks can be used to purchase Build Parts or combat items. For more on what this system entails, check out our interview with the game’s producer Yuya Kimura.
Also, in regards to Genesis Points, that’s an entirely new system. Genesis Points can be obtained from the Genesis Points Tree and various tasks provided by Arche, the ARKS Architectural Researcher. This currency can be used to obtain Build Parts, as mentioned above, but also useful items for battle. Additionally, the Resort Build Parts Pack will be available in the in-game AC Shop, featuring various luxurious items for the Creative Space.
Besides Creative Space, Connect System, and Genesis Points, players can look forward to Chapter 6, Part 1 of the Main Story as well, where new missions and adjustments have been made to enhance the progression and remove certain requirements. Additionally, there’s a new feature called Portable Holograms, allowing players to place holograms in ARKS bases and open fields for communication and decoration. Players can choose from different types of holograms, including objects, effects, and paint.
Moreover, Cel Shading has been added as a visual setting for characters, enabling players to personalize their appearance with options like Outline Emphasis and Shadow Density. And there’s overall adjustments too, such as improved EXP gain and class balancing. Last but not least, there’s new skills for all classes and a Photo Mode.
