Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis Players Won’t Be Getting The Summoner Class As Soon As They Thought
But they will be getting a tableflip emote.
Sega posted the final PSO2 NGS Head Line video this week, and while it seems it’s mostly good news, there is a bit of a bummer tucked away in it – provided you’ve been waiting to play the Summoner class. The good news is that there is a lot of new content on the way, including holiday events, the end game concert, and lots of scratch ticket content – including a table flip emote. Who can’t use one of those? Info on all of those things can be found at the top of the video.
Now, as for the Summoner delay: that’s about halfway in as part of the Q&A section. As a player noted, the class was slated to release sometime after spring 2022. However, it’s now no longer included in the roadmap. The answer is that the team had to drop Summoner’s priority in order to focus on other content and game elements they determined needed love based on player feedback. So now, the estimated release is late 2022. At least it's still the same year. The devs added that they’ll let players know when a date is set and apologized for not informing everyone of the delay when the roadmap changed.
