Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis Celebrates Two And A Half Years With An Update
Any excuse to party.
It’s not often you see an MMORPG celebrating a half-year anniversary. But hey. Why not? At least that seems to be Sega’s approach with Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis, which is hitting the 2.5-year mark. To honor the occasion, the developer has dropped a new update filled with new content that will make progress easier for old and new players alike.
It’s not just progression, though. The update also includes a 2.5th Anniversary Campaign: Super Genesis Festival. This campaign kicks off today and will last until January 24. During that time, players who complete the story through Chapter 5 will receive 2.5 million N-Meseta, 2 Legacy Coordination Badges, and other goodies. As another bonus, the Salon will be available for free… until the event is over, that is.
Of course, players should expect the general celebratory stuff as well: login bonuses, boosts, and all that jazz. The celebration even includes an increase in rare item drops.
