Perfect World Updates Arc Client, Now All Your News Is In One Place
When players go to log into their favorite Perfect World game via the Arc client today, they're going to find it looks a bit different. Arc update 5.0 is now out, and it improves on the news, chat, and overlay features.
News is now broken down into three types, Custom, Featured, and Breaking. Custom news is located on the right side of the home screen and includes things like patch notes and events. Featured news has existed for a while, but it now includes embedded videos, allowing players to watch them without having to go into a browser. Breaking news is pretty much what you'd expect. If something big is happening NOW, you can find it there.
As for the chat, several things have been updated, specifically voice chat, group messages, and adding friends. And finally, the overlay overview has been updated and new features have been added. Players can easily contact each other or even Arc support directly from the in-game overlay.
As the post on the Arc site notes, these are just a few of the improvements that have been made to the client. To find out what the others are, you'll just have to launch the client and take a peek yourself.
