Pax Dei Drops FAQ Responding To Player Questions, Still Targets Release This Year Despite Some Setbacks
Not all the answers are substantive, but there's a few key pieces of info here for players.
As Pax Dei's early access keeps trucking along, players have had quite a bit of feedback and questions about the sandbox MMORPG's future plans and some issues still in game. The Mainframe team has collected questions from their Discord and from other social media channels and compiled another list of responses similar to a version of this that they did regarding build changes earlier this month.
This time around the questions are more general and, honestly, some of the answers aren't worth all that much. While the team does acknowledge this at the start of the post, it probably still doesn't feel great to get the old "we can't say much on this" reply.
Of particular note in the list of questions is the chat about a full release. Pax Dei originally planned to be in early access for about a year. We're coming up on that year mark in June and Pax Dei has had more than its fair share of setbacks since early access began, so it's a great question. While the team may not make the one year launch target, they are still planning a full launch sometime this year. That launch will see a wipe, but the team doesn't plan any wipes between now and then unless it becomes necessary to do so.
On the monetization side, Mainframe isn't ready to release new details. They continue to confirm that if you bought the early access pack, you will not have to make a new purchase come launch time.
As for a few annoying building issues, yes, the team is still working on fixing things like 4 plots combining and leaving a hole in the center, tree roots growing through building foundations, and the possible return of FSR3.
New additions mentioned include fishing and farming, more building pieces, a recycling program, the addition of the delayed fast travel, and the possible inclusion of mounts in the future.
