Path Of Exile’s: Crucible Expansion Will Introduce Skill Trees For Weapons
Players will also be able to travel instantly using Atlas Gateways.
Today, Grinding Gear Games hosted a Path of Exile livestream introducing the game’s next expansion, Crucible. The new expansion launched on April 7 on PC. Consoles will have to wait a few days to start playing it on April 12.
When it launches, the new update will introduce several bits of new content. Of course, there’s the new league – the Crucible Challenge League. This new league will implement a big change in the game’s item system, allowing players to augment their weapons using skill trees specific to them. These trees will help improve a character’s playstyle and offer powerful effects. There is a cost, however. The trees consume experience from Crucible encounters.
Another big addition is the Atlas Gateway system. This is a new feature in the endgame, introducing nodes that allow players to instantly travel between two locations in the Atlas Passive Tree. This should allow players to better focus on the content they want. The devs have also revamped the Breach and Abyss mechanics, reducing clutter and improving gameplay. And, the Passive Tree and Masteries have been reworked, adding new Masteries that will provide more interesting effects.
