Path of Exile 2 Huntress

Today, Grinding Gear Games hosted a new livestream where they discussed the content arriving in Path of Exile 2 with the upcoming Dawn of the Hunt update. The big news, of course, is the introduction of the new class. The Huntress uses both a spear and buckler to create a hybrid melee and ranged combat style. She also launches two ascendancy classes: ritualist and amazon. The former uses blood sacrifices to use corrupted lifeforce on her enemies. The latter uses precision and the elements to succeed in combat.

In addition to the Huntress’s two ascendancy classes, the update also introduces additional ascendancy classes for the Witch, Warrior, and Mercenary. These are Lich, Smith of Kitava, and Tactician, respectively. Liches become masters of undeath and chaos by ripping their own soul apart. The Smith of Katava “forges weapons of destruction in fire and suffering”. Finally, the Tactician is a former trained Blackguard Elite who uses military-grade combat.

Of course, a new update means new skills and support gems. In addition, the update will introduce 20 new spear skills for the Huntress, along with the skills "Raise Spectre" and "Summon Rhoa Mount." The former allows for the trapping and summoning of monster souls. This can be almost any monster that exists in the game. (Note that we said “almost”.) Summon Rhoa Mount allows players to summon a Rhoa that will fight alongside them. However, they can also use it for mounted combat. Just be careful of the knock-off damage.

Dawn of the Hunt also introduces 8 new maps, four new strongboxes, and new story content to the action RPG.

The hunt begins on April 4th and will bring some major endgame additions.
