Path Of Exile 2 Patch Day Sees New Content, Item Changes, And Pages Of Improvements
Set aside the billionaire nonsense, let's look at the additions.
Setting aside dumb Elon Musk stories about so-called accomplishments in Path of Exile 2, it's time for the ARPG's actual players to get their first bit of major early access patching. That's not to say that Grinding Gear Games hasn't been patching things since early access launch, this is just the team's first "major" update since the beginning of access.
While the official patch notes have a veritable cornucopia of specific item adjustments, bug fixes, monster adjustments, and general improvements, we'll leave those up to you to peruse and focus on the larger additions here.
On the content front, not only has the Lost Towers map been revamped, but the game's lone tower now has 4 new friends. Alpine Ridge, Bluff, Mesa, and Sinking Spire add to the fun and give players more options on the tower front, something that is certainly welcome.
Taking on the Arbiter of Ash has been a bit of a frustration point for players. While the fight is certainly challenging, only getting one attempt to clear it doesn't really give players any real "practice" time to actually learn the fight. Going forward, players now get 6 respawns. These respawns can only be triggered by the person who put in the keys and the respawn will happen for all players at once. You can't leave the map and change specs though, that'll reset things.
Citadels will now appear closer to the center of the map and can be located a bit easier on the map, even through the fog of war.
Maps get a ton of love in patch 0.1.1. Many maps see their rare monster counts increased, their magic monster counts increased, and greater chances for Essences, Strongboxes, and Shrines have been added.
