Path Of Exile 2’s Goes Standalone, Closed Beta Has A Date, And Other News From ExileCon
The now standalone game will be entering beta next year.
If you missed the news – and it’s understandable if you did, it was a busy weekend – Grinding Gear Games held their annual ExileCon event over the weekend. During the event, the developer dropped all kinds of information for players in attendance and watching on stream. Probably the biggest news of the event is the fact that Path of Exile 2 isn’t exactly the same as what they initially pitched as the design of the ARPG game has grown to the point it is now a proper standalone sequel. This means it won’t be sharing the same client with the original Path of Exile.
This news also comes with another big announcement. A closed beta date has been chosen. It’s not quite a year away, kicking off on June 7, 2024. When it arrives, Path of Exile 2 will have instant weapon and skill changing.
ExileCon ran for two days this weekend. Of course, not all of that was announcements, but Grinding Gear Games does enjoy their reveals. We’ve included all the videos below, so you can watch at your leisure. Included are the third Path of Exile 2 Trailer, a gameplay walkthrough, and the Path of Exile: Trial of the Ancestors Trailer.
