Path Of Exile's Bestiary Boasts "Best-Day One Numbers"
Despite having some issues early on the day of its launch on the Path of Exile servers, the content update reportedly drew more numbers on its first day than any of the game's other expansions ever have. According to a post on the PoE forums, a total of 129,390 players were online when the tally capped out. It should be noted however, that this record is specific to expansion launches. The game hit a higher consecutive player count on the third day after The Fall of Oriath launch. The Grinding Gear Games team hopes to top that.
As for the issues experienced on launch day, the first ninety minutes of the expansion's launch were affected by a bug that kept the game client from displaying information from the Bestiary book. It didn't take the developers long to find the issue and deploy a fix, but it did result in players not getting tutorial information that would have made learning the system easier.
