Here Are All The Path Of Exile Dev Videos From ExileCon Posted So Far
Do you love Path of Exile? I mean, do you really love Path of Exile? Do you love it enough to watch multiple hour-long presentations from various developers of the game on how they make it?
If you do, then this is the post for you! We've embedded several videos below that Grinding Gear Games has made available over the past couple of months that showcase how the Wraeclast sausage is made. (What would be in Wraeclast sausage? Probably some very questionable meats.)
If you don't have the hours and hours required to watch all of the videos below, you can just skim through the highlights of ExileCon in this video that runs nearly the same length of time as it takes light from the sun to reach the Earth.
But if you do have the time, then sit back and enjoy. And don't forget to take stretch breaks and hydrate.
Building the World of Path of Exile 2, by Creative Director and GGG co-founder Erik Olofsson:
Storytelling in Path of Exile, by Narrative Designer Matt Dymerski:
Creating Game Effects in Path of Exile, by Senior Visual Effects Artist Ivan Leong:
Procedural World Generation in Path of Exile, by Senior Programmer Rhys Abraham:
And finally, a video that was posted just today, Game Designers Answer Your Hardcore Questions, with a quartet PoE designers: Senior Gameplay Programmer Mark Knewstubb, Senior Game Designer Rory Rackham, and Content Lead Neon, hosted by Designer and Writer Nick Kolan:
Watching all of these should be worth an in-game reward, don't you think?
