Paragon Lives (Yet) Again, Brought From The Dead By Netmarble
Well, Netmarble and free assets.
Some may or may not remember, but Epic Games used to have a free-to-play MOBA called Paragon. The game had a short run of two years before it eventually shut down, mainly due to how popular Fortnite became. Now, here we are at the end of 2022 and it would seem Paragon is back, this time called Paragon: The Overprime, resurrected by the South Korean-based studio Netmarble.
Paragon was lovingly brought back for a while as Fault: Elder Orb, a fan run project, but even that had to recently shut down.
The game was brought back to life thanks to Epic releasing almost $12 million worth of assets for free on its Epic Game Store platform. Netmarble was able to use these resources to create the game and then continued where the company had left off.
Players interested in joining the game before its early access period in November can apply through this link. It explains the details and rewards for participating. The event period will end on November 7, so make sure to try your luck before then.
