What’s new with Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen?
The most recent Community Q&A session for the MMORPG featured Creative Director Chris Perkins discussing preparations for Season 2. He highlighted the team's focus on bug fixes and gameplay enhancements, particularly in addressing issues such as NPC flee speed and stacking problems with abilities. Efforts have also been directed towards improving NPC pathing to prevent instances where NPCs get stuck during combat.
Looking ahead, Perkins outlined plans to adjust the time-to-kill mechanic, aiming to balance the pace of experience gain by reducing the number of NPCs needed to slay. He promises that Season 2 will introduce epic quests and unique itemization, providing players with worthwhile challenges and rewards. Additionally, considerations are being made regarding the role of race and class mechanics.
In terms of technical developments, adjustments are being made to lighting mechanics to create a more immersive environment, especially in subterranean areas. Perkins also discussed server restructuring to address discrepancies in player levels and abilities.
