Crafting, Gathering, And Data Persistence Get Some Love In Latest Pantheon Producer’s Letter
Crafters and gatherers should be happy, and a major milestone has been reached.
As February comes to a close, Visionary Realms dropped another Producer’s Letter, giving players the details on where they’re currently at in the Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen’s development cycle. The MMORPG is still in pre-alpha testing and they’re using this time to get a lot done.
In fact, two big topics this month revolve around making sure things are good on the crafting and gathering front, and dealing with issues involving the persistence server. The latter really focuses on improving character data persistence to help prevent excessive data rollbacks when the client crashes.
With those two things more or less handled, the developers are now shifting their focus to system development – which means there will be even more progress on the development of game mechanics. On top of that, they intend to work on integrating player models with their new animations. Things are about to get prettier.
As with previous Producer’s Letters, this one has a lengthy list of all the things they’ve been working on, or are currently working on, and where they’re at with all of that.
