Palworld Developer Creating A New Business With The Help Of Sony
No, it’s not a publishing deal or acquisition.
It seems Palworld is growing, and they’re doing it with the help of Sony. No, the company isn’t taking over publishing the survival MMO, nor are they swooping in to buy the Palworld developer up. Instead, the companies have teamed up to create Palworld Entertainment and take advantage of the popularity of the game with non-video game products.
The new company will be headed by Poketpair’s CEO, Takuro Mizobe. It will focus on global licensing for the Palworld IP as well as merchandising. Yes, merch is on the way. We’re sure fans are looking forward to building a plushie or vinyl collection.
While this might not have been the most expected news regarding Palworld, it does make a lot of sense. After all, there are plenty of cute critters in the game to turn into collectibles. We’re sure there are plenty of folks wanting to bring some of them home.
