Paladins Is Shifting Back Release Schedule, Offers Roadmap Into 2021
There are still four months and then some left in 2020, but Evil Mojo Games is already looking forward to 2021. (To be honest, who isn't?) Yesterday, the Paladins developer outlined its plans for the latter part of this year and the next, including delays brought on by the challenges of working remotely due to the impact of COVID-19.
The third scheduled Champion of Season 3 will release in October, while the fourth will be shifted from late 2020 to early 2021. Players who purchased the 2019-20 Season Pass, which was to include all Champions released in those two years, will receive 200 Crystals as compensation. That could cause a little consternation among fans, since recent Champions have cost 300 Crystals apiece.
Starting in 2021, Champion releases will be separated from Battle Pass releases, with new Champions arriving approximately every six weeks. The rest of the roadmap, which is laid out through February, as well as a brief FAQ ("Q: What is going to happen to Mixer Points?") can be found here.
