Paladins OB45 Update Introduces New Champion Inara, The Stone Warden
Recently, Hi-Rez offered players a look at the changes arriving in the 45th Open Beta update for its free-to-play team shooter, Paladins. Included in the update is a new champion by the name of Inara. Known as the "Stone Warden," Inara features abilities that make use of earth and stone -- from the ability to fire Stone Spears to creating a stone obelisk that slows down enemies while damaging them.
In addition to the new champion, the update makes a few general changes including all achievements now rewarding 1000 Essence. For those that have already earned achievements, Essence will be retroactively applied. If you'd like the full rundown on the latest update, you can check out the patch notes on the Paladins forums. In other Paladins news, Hi-Rez announced this weekend that both Paladins and SMITE have been added to the High School Starleague roster. High school students can go to the HSStarleage site to sign up to compete for their share of a $10,000 prize pool.
