Paladins Gets Rekt In The Latest Update
Paladins' 50th Open Beta update was released earlier this week. It introduced a slew of new content, including Announcer Packs, 3 new character customizations, and the all new REKT Chest.
With the Get Rekt update, players are now able to purchase custom announcer packs. To celebrate this, and the fact that the Paladins' YouTube channel now has 1 million subscribers, Hi-Rez is selling the Rory (or "DryBear") pack for 1 Gold.
In the world of Customization, Evie has received a rock star treatment, Sha Lin has a whole super hero thing going on, and -- my personal favorite -- Buck has taken on a wrestling persona with a stripper name "Buck Wild."
Finally, the REKT Chest offers players a variety of NERF-like weapons -- one for each of the following champions:
- Androxus: REKT Hand Cannon
- Barik: REKT Boom Stick
- Buck: REKT Shotty
- Cassie: REKT Impaler
- Grover: REKT Hacker
- Kinessa: REKT Long Gun
- Sha Lin: REKT Great Bow
- Tyra: REKT Carbine
- Viktor: REKT War Rifle
If you'd like to try your hand at winning one of these weapons before buying them, you're in luck. MMOBomb has been granted keys for 30 weapons to give away. (Note these are keys for individual weapons and not the full chest.)
Of course, the update also brings a series of technical changes, all of which can be found in the patch notes on the Paladins site.
