Make Sure To Check Out The Overwatch 2 FAQ Before Hopping Into Beta
There's still time to sign up for the test or get access watching certain streams.
The long wait is finally over. Overwatch fan’s have a chance to participate in the first beta for Overwatch 2 or join in on the fun during The Overwatch Team’s Beta Bash livestream. Starting from today at 11 a.m. PT, lucky players will start to receive their invites to join the PvP Beta throughout the day.
Players who were not fortunate enough to get into the beta should not lose hope. Players can participate in Overwatch’s Twitch Drops program to earn beta access by watching specific Overwatch 2 PvP beta streams over on Twitch. If players are still unable to gain beta access, there is no need to worry. While this is Overwatch 2’s first beta, it is not the last and there will be more information on how to gain access to later beta streams in the future. The limited-time campaign for Overwatch's Twitch Drops program begins April 27th at 10 a.m. PT and will last until 6:00 p.m. PT. Viewers will simply need to tune in to watch a select group of streamers for four hours. It doesn't matter what stream you decide to watch, as long as the streamer's name is listed on Overwatch’s site which is linked below.
Also on April 27, the Overwatch team will be hosting their Beta Bash livestream on the PlayOverwatch Twitch at 11 a.m. PT in celebration of the Overwatch 2 PvP beta with T4 and Overwatch Content creators. Players and viewers alike can look forward to some friendly competition as content creators face off in the new 5v5 team composition. With one less tank on both sides, this is sure to be an interesting fight. There will also be Overwatch League casters and hosts who will interview a few members of the Overwatch team about the beta launch so be sure to stay tuned.
