Overwatch 2 Is Cracking Down On Leavers And Halloween Terror 2023 Is Live Now
Leavers are getting some much do justice, and it's Halloween time.
Leavers are frustrating, especially in PvP games where a leaver can leave you shorthanded. Overwatch 2 is taking measures to deter leavers, and it goes beyond just penalizing them battle pass XP in the shooter game.
Starting in Season 7, Overwatch 2 is introducing a queue suspension system that will see players start with a 10-minute suspension from queueing for any game mode that grants progression progress. Players who continue to leave games could see the suspension increase to 30 minutes. It's all covered over on the Overwatch 2 Steam page.
In other news, Halloween Terror 2023 is now live in Overwatch 2, with spooky challenges and treasures. Junkenstein's Revenge is back, as is Junkenkstein's Revenge and Junkenstein's Endless Halloween-themed brawls. You'll also be able to check out a new co-op adventure, Junkenstein's Revenge: The Wrath of the Bride.
Trials of Sanctuary is a new four-player, co-op survival brawl where you can pick from six themed heroes of Sanctuary to fight against the dark legions: Demon Hunter Sombra, Barbarian Zarya, Nightraven Illari, Cleric Lifeweaver, Imperius Reinhardt, and Inarius Pharah. Look for treasure chests in the dark cathedral, as some loot can boost your attack speed, attack power, maximum health, or move speed. Epic weapon drops will give you hero even more powerful abilities.
Overwatch 2's Halloween Terror 2023 runs now through November 1st.
