Overwatch 2 Brings Back Rare Pink Mercy Skin (And A New Version) To Raise Money For Breast Cancer Research
It's been about 6 years since you were able to snag this skin.
Back in May of 2018, Activision Blizzard raised just shy of $13 million for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) by selling a snazzy pink skin for Mercy in Overwatch. Since then, it has become a rather rare skin in the hero shooter. It was never on offer again in Overwatch, and hasn't ever been offered in Overwatch 2.
That's about to change. On June 25th, the original pink Mercy skin will be avaialble for the same original $14.99 price. Just like last time, all proceeds (after taxes) will go to BCRF. The return of the pink skin isn't the only cosmetic you can snag, though. A new Rose Gold variant of the Mercy skin will also be avaialble. This skin comes as part of a $19.99 bundle that includes both the Mercy skin and the weapon skin in a Rose Gold color.
Sadly, some of the other cosmetics that were tossed out as Twitch Drops back in 2018 will not be made available this time around. However a few new community-made cosmetics will be made available via Twitch Drops starting in Season 11.
You'll only have until July 8th to grab these bundles if you want them and no, you can't buy them with coins or gift them since this is a drive to raise money for charity.
Head over to the official post to see what other ways you can support BCRF.
