Over 1 Million Self-Inflicted Damage May Be My Favorite Stat From ASCENDANT Tests As 2025 Launch Approaches
2025 will see the game's full release.
Throughout 2024, ASCENDANT hit some of its first real testing since being announced over a year ago. The first-person shooter held 4 technical tests, a closed beta, 4 open betas, and took part in Steam Next Fest.
Looking back at those testing sessions, the team at PlayFusion drops some great stats. My favorite one is that over 1 million damage was self-inflicted by players. That's part of the 155 million damage dealt globally. 2024 also saw ASCENDANT tap into the community streaming scene with over 200 creators taking part in the "Top Dog" event.
As ASCENDANT heads towards their planned 2025 launch, the team is thanking players for their support and dropping a new holiday message for fans. "Thanks for being part of the insanity. May your holidays be filled with chaos, your New Year’s resolutions include ‘fewer respawns’, and your 2025 bring all the Biocores your Earthtree could ever need," reads a part of the full post.
I'm actually looking forward to this title. I love the crazy 80s vibe they dropped back in February (2nd video below) and some of the gameplay looks interesting. You can wishlist ASCENDANT on Steam now. More events and tests will kick off early next year.
