The official launch isn't for two more days, but if you pre-ordered the "expansion" for Outriders, Worldslayer, early access is live today giving you a two-day headstart.

Worldslayer brings a whole new set of campaign missions to the "not a live service" looter-shooter, but the original base game isn't actually "required" for you to play. Sure, having played through the original Outriders campaign will offer more insight into the world and the lore, but the team at People Can Fly say that Worldslayer "stands alone very well." You can also boost to level 30 if you don't have a character from the original release to continue playing with in Worldslayer.

While the expansion doesn't add any new classes, it does expand upon the talent trees of the original title, adds a new tier of gear complete with new mod slots, and introduces the new endgame feature "Trial of Tarya Gratar", a zone that dynamically changes and offers a wide array of replayablility.

While the expansion launches on Steam, PS4/5, and XBox, don't expect it to launch on Game Pass. The original game will still be available there for a while, but the Worldslayer expansion will not be.

not going to lie, ive played it and it is a giant turn around from when the game launched. This kind of a comeback is rare in the gaming industry, usually when a game fails pretty hard, most companies just leave it to die and move on. But this is actually impressive. They fixed their dynamically flawed and counterintuitive endgame and made a good amount of new content to keep the players engaged. The only thing i would really have loved to see would be a new class but each of the classes getting an addition 2 skill trees each putting them to 5 trees instead of 3 is a still good boost. This is actually pretty great.
