Open Beta For Gaijin Entertainment's WW2 Squad Shooter Enlisted Kicks Off April 8
Gaijin Entertainment's WW2 shooter Enlisted is reaching the end of its closed beta and preparing for an "influx of armies of new players from April 8th," when the open beta kicks off. In case you need a refresher from its initial playtest announcement, Enlisted puts players in command of a squad of soldiers and mixes infantry, tank, and air battles over vast campaigns.
The open beta will include a new meta game system and new missions, vehicles, and weapons. Some of those new toys include the US P-38J fighter, Soviet RM-50 mortar, and German Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. H. tank.
Other changes implemented throughout the closed beta include better soldier AI, weapon polish -- to make them better, not shinier -- and vehicle balance, as well as tweaking the maximum number of soldiers in the different class squads. Overall progression is being "significantly reformed," with less randomness and better rewards for completing tasks. A post from last week outlines many of these changes, including changes in maximum soldier counts for many squads and awards for performing well in combat, which will net you extra XP.
Enlisted's open beta will be available on the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Learn more about the test, as well as the Founder's Packs you can purchase, on the Enlisted site.
