One Week: That's All You'll Have To Try Battlefield 2042's Dead Space Collaboration Event
Neat, but I think this should have come a few years ago.
Next week, starting on July 9th, Dead Space comes to the world of Battlefield 2042. The shooter will welcome Issac Clarke and team until July 16th. Yeah, it's only running for one week. The surprise collaboration will feature a limited-time event called "Outbreak." Kind of fitting given the subject matter of the collab.
We're still waiting for more details on the event, but the press release says that in Outbreak "squads are tested by their human resilience and resourcefulness against a new and relentless enemy all while trying to escape the Boreas laboratory."
The Battlefield 2042 X account tweeted a little bit of a teaser video advertising the event and in it we get a brief glimpse of some Dead Space gear-clad troops fighting off waves of zombie-like creatures. We don't see some of Dead Space's more iconic weapons, though, so who knows if we'll be getting those.

On the rewards front, expect to see a new weapon skin, charm, tag, and player background card. Of course, you can shell out some money during the event by grabbing the "Dead Space Bundle" for 2200 BFC (2400 BFC will usually cost you $19.99 with no additional discounts). This bundle scores you 3 weapon skins, the "Marked Man" specialist outfit, and a few other extras.
I have to say that I love this crossover, but it seems so late given that Season 7 is Battlefield 2042's last season. Better late than never, I guess?
