One Day From The First Descendant's Launch, More Descendants Get Trailers And Beta Reward Redemption Is Detailed
If you're playing tomorrow, you can download the game right now.
We're only one day from the launch of Nexon's looter-shooter The First Descendant and the team is continuing to push more and more information about its cast of playable characters, some behind the scenes content, and the dishing out of the rewards for those that played in the game's beta.
If you happened to play in the Steam beta back in October 2022, you'll be getting the "High Five" emote, with additional rewards if you completed a Void Intercept mission. Participants of the crossplay beta in 2023 get the "Send Heart" emote with other additional rewards for certain gameplay achievements. A full post breaks down the rewards and how you can claim them after launch.
In other First Descendant news, there's new previews for 3 more of the playable Descendants. Last week we previewed Bunny, Valby, and Ajax. Today we take a closer look at Lepic, Viessa, and Gley.
Lepic brings a mechanical right arm to the battle. It can turn into a damn launcher when needed, but Lepic really likes to toss about grenades. Sure, some just go "boom", but others pull all enemies together for some serious group damage.
Viessa takes advantage of humidity in the air and will be your go-to Descendant if you fancy yourself like Shiva. Managing ice and snow, if you've ever wanted to see a damn blizzard explode, now's your chance. Just don't touch any ice spheres floating around or you'll find yourself easy prey.
Gley is a bit unique. She consumes her own HP to enter frenzy states, then drains HP from enemies to restore her health. It's very vampire-like and I really can't wait to try Gley out.
Remember, picking your Descendant is just the beginning. You'll need to master gear, components, and modules to really maximize your battlefield prowess. Luckily, the team talked about exactly that last week if you need a starting point.
You can download The First Descendant right now ahead of tomorrow's release.
