Once, The Future Of Evercore Heroes Was Uncertain, Now "Ascension" Will Try Again In 2025 Via Early Access And Steam Next Fest
The came will expand to larger testing, increased testing frequency, and an early access launch.
It's been a bit of an odd year for Evercore Heroes: Ascension. To catch you up, the game entered 2024 as kind of a mash-up title. It featured elements from MOBAs, then it kind of just went away to regroup after a "lackluster" beta, and then it shifted to more of a rogue-like and received its new "Ascension" moniker.
While the game's primary game modes revolve around 3v3 gameplay, the team has already started experimenting with a new "Hero Mode" made to be played solo.
That seems like a lot of bouncing around...and it is!
As the team at Vela Games heads into 2025, it's time to see if the redirection will pay off and, according to the team, you'll get multiple chances to do that soon. First, Evercore Heroes: Ascension will make an appearance at Steam Next Fest in February. 2025 will also see the expansion of play tests and an eventual early access release. Second, the team continues to use player feedback to update shards and heroes to achieve that all important "balance." That will continue next year as more and more players get to try the title out.
We've been down this testing road before with Evercore and it didn't end all that well. Here's to hoping that the team's decision to pause and reconsider things pays off. We'll find out more early next year during Steam Next Fest.
