Old World Labs Encourages Would-Be Abyss Online Players To Wait On Their Purchase As They Deal With “Absolute Chaos”
Several game breaking bugs are in the process of being fixed.
Abyss Online is suffering an incredibly problematic early access – a fact admitted to by the developers who describe it as having “encountered absolute chaos” and asked those who haven’t bought the MMORPG, but have been considering it, to wait a few weeks.
The post, published on the game’s Steam page lists several game-breaking bugs affecting everything from issues signing in to armor and weapons being invisible. The "good-ish" news is that they are working on it, and a few things are expected to be fixed soon. Others have an ETA of sometime next week.
While working on these fixes, the developers are encouraging potential players to wait to make their purchase – “at least a few weeks”. In addition, they’ve turned off the free playtest to allow themselves more room to work on the bugs.
The post lays out a plan moving forward, with the devs providing regular updates on progress. That’s not just for the bug fixes – which are obviously taking priority – but also for content in development. Those who have already purchased the early access will want to keep an eye out for future updates.
