Old School RuneScape Officially Launches On iOS And Android, Offers Cross-Platform Subscriptions
It's been in the works for some time, and now Old School RuneScape is officially launched on mobile devices, which Jagex says will give players "cross-platform play, enabling players to jump from PC to mobile platforms and back again." Jagex claims that there have been over one million pre-orders/pre-registrations for the game on iOS and Android, with another million already enjoying the game via a beta and soft launch over the summer.
While OSRS is free-to-play, you can pick up a membership for a single month ($10.99), three months ($29.99), six months ($54.99), or 12 months ($99.99), with your sub carrying over from PC to mobile. The press release touts that as being the same "as Netflix, Spotify, and YouTube Premium, as it becomes the first mainstream game to transfer its monthly membership offering to mobile," which just sounds like a bid to get SEO from mentioning those super-popular services. We would never do something like that.
