Old School RuneScape Celebrates 12 Years By Introducing A New Dual Boss Encounter
Prepare to face the Queen of Fire and the King of Frost.
Old School Runescape is turning 12 on February 19 and Jagex has celebrations planned. Among these are a birthday livestream, special decorations and in-game birthday rewards, and a birthday cake competition. In addition, players have a chance to win some real-world items, such as the RuneScape Kingdoms Board Game or a copy of the MMORPG's official cookbook.
Jagex also announced the launch of the ‘Royal Titans’ dual boss encounter, which pits solo players or duo teams against Brandr, the Fire Queen, and Eldric, the King of Frost. During the battle, players will need to switch gear to deal with each of the bosses’ elemental weaknesses. Once the bosses are defeated, players will earn special rewards including a Twinflame Staff, a Giantsoul Amulet, and a teleport that takes players directly to any three of the giant bosses. Players will also receive Prayer Scrolls, Desiccated Pages, and a Fire & Ice giant pet.
