Old School Runescape 2024 Roadmap Revealed At Winter Summit
On the schedule is the two-part Valamore area expansion.
Over the weekend, Jagex hosted the Old School Runescape Winter Summit, teasing changes and new content being added to the MMORPG and dropping a roadmap for the first half of the year. It features the main content drop running through this summer, beginning with Scurrius on Jan 24.
The highlight of the summit was the detailing of Varlamore – which will drop in two updates. The first arrives on March 13, while the second will drop sometime in the summer after the Guthix Sleeps quest update drops. Varlamore will offer players the chance to explore Civitas illa Fortis and the Avium Savannah. There will be new quests and minigames as well.
In addition to the new content and reworks, players can also expect improvements to the game’s client. A new HD Mode will feature upgraded graphics with dynamic lighting, sunlight effects, and more. An official client plugin API will allow players to create their own plugins, both on PC and mobile.
