Official Infection Mode Coming To Halo Infinite With Season 4, Plus New Progression System
In the first Spartan Chatter episodes, 343 Industries revealed details about the game's upcoming season.
Here’s some new info for all you Halo Infinite fans out there.
343 Industries announced Spartan Chatter, a communication channel on the official Discord server for the free-to-play shooter, where the team has recently shared updates regarding Season 4 — which drops on June 20. In a conversation with Sean Baron, the head of Halo Infinite Live Service, details were revealed such as the fan-favorite mode Infection. Also, starting next season premium coatings in the form of the Premium Battle Pass and Shop will include versions compatible with all armor cores.
Besides that, a new progression system called Career Rank will also be implemented with Season 4, featuring military-style ranks. A Forge remake of the Halo 5 map "Plaza" is planned for release early in the new season. The lucky attendees of the HCS Dreamhack Dallas event will have the opportunity to try out the fresh content before everyone else, but all players can look forward to Halo Infinite’s first Bonus XP Weekend from June 2 to 4.
