No More Early Access For Wayfinder, 1.0 Is Up With The New 8th Wayfinder, A Hookshot, And New Content
An Xbox release is still targeted for later this year.
We've finally arrived at the official launch day for Wayfinder. Shedding the "early access" label today, PC and PS5 players now have access to the co-op RPG's "release" version, complete with a the addition of the game's 8th Wayfinder, Lora, a new Overland zone to explore, new weapons and armor, more housing items, a new tutorial, and plenty of performance improvements.
This weekend, the team at Airship Syndicate revealed Lora, the 8th Wayfinder to make their way into the Gloom, and hosted a stream where they reviewed the new "Crucible" overland zone. This zone is very big so you'll want to mount up to explore it. However, a new traversal mechanic also comes with the patch, so making your way around the Crucible map may be easier with the new Hookshot.
Players also get 2 new Lost Zones in the way of The Shattered Foundry and The Aegis Vault.
Lora, being the vessel of a primal spirit, is having a bit of a challenging time controlling their powers. Sometimes even their friends are a bit spooked by the power they wield. You'll need to master some heavy damage abilities and some "reflective" skills to ensure Lora capitalizes on their talents.
Heading to The Crucible you'll be working against the dark intentions of the Eldren. They're after something powerful in the center of the zone and you'll probably want to stop them from finding whatever the hell they're after.
If you're new to Wayfinder, the tutorial has been revamped for you, too.
We've got all the new videos for you below and you can hop over to the patch notes for all the fixes. Xbox launch is still targeting a launch later this year.
