Nexon Sends Out First Batch Of MapleStory 2 Closed Beta Invites
Okay gang. It's that time. If you signed up to be part of the MapleStory 2 closed beta, check your mailboxes -- and don't forget the spam folder -- because the first round of beta invites have gone out. If for some reason you don't trust your email... and let's face it, email can be pretty shady... that's okay. You can check your beta status on the Nexon account page.
The closed beta is slated to kick off May 9. To make sure players are actually able to get in and play on that day, Nexon will be opening the game client up for download on May 7. Until that day, a special "Road Trip to Closed Beta" event is being held. This event asks players to participate in a variety of social media and community activities in order to unlock prizes that will be made available when they log in.
All the activities need to be completed before May 6. It should be noted that players who completed the event but are not selected to participate in the closed beta will still receive all their rewards when the game officially launches.
