Nexon's "Project D" Gets Unveiled As "Veiled Experts" And Schedules Global Open Beta
Pre-registering now gets you a few days early access compared to the rest of the globe.
Remember Project D? That was one of NEXON's upcoming titles that we didn't know a whole lot about besides it being a team-based shooter. Today that changes as not only did NEXON reveal the name of their new game, Veiled Experts, but also announced a global open beta date and dropped a few videos so you can prep for your matches now.
Veiled Experts, whose name is a reference to the VX organization that all 9 of the playable characters work for, is a 5v5, plant/defuse, round based, third-person shooter. Each of the 9 selectable characters has their own unique abilities that, by themself, do not highly impact battle balance but smart planning can take these abilities to the next level.
In Veiled Export's round based gameplay, teams will be tasked with planting bombs or protecting the bomb points. It's pretty standard fare for games in this genre however, a dynamic weather system and a highly destructible environment may add something to the formula.
Not only can you blow up walls, vehicles, and cover, but even winning a round by blowing up your team's objective may drastically change the map for future rounds in the match.
You won't have to wait long to get your hands on the game though as the global open beta is scheduled to begin on June 13th. If you want to play even EARLIER though, you can now pre-register on Steam to get access on June 9th, but you have to register by June 7th.
