Nexon May Or May Not Implement Purchasable Boosters In The First Descendant
The developers are also introducing improvements to make farming better for players.
Apparently Nexon (Games) is on the fence about implementing purchasable boosters to speed up progression in The First Descendant.
Game Director Minseok Joo mentioned in an interview with MP1st that while boosters haven't been confirmed, the shooter's balance is being designed to allow players to naturally grow and farm resources through regular gameplay. The developers said they aim to strike a balance between a sense of accomplishment and enjoyable farming without overwhelming players with various in-game currencies and materials.
The beta testing phase of the upcoming free-to-play looter shooter revealed issues related to the game's usability, particularly concerning the gathering of materials. Players were frustrated by the lack of clarity on where to obtain specific materials and the complex user interface.
To address these concerns, Nexon Games is planning to introduce user experience improvements before the game's official launch. These improvements are supposed to enhance the convenience of farming in the game, making it a smoother and more enjoyable process.
