NEXON GStar Reveals New TCG MMORPG Astellia
If you're a fan of the recent trend of putting collectible card mechanics to work in other game genres, then you'll be happy to hear about one of NEXON's upcoming games -- Astellia. An MMORPG at its core, Astellia requires players to collect cards of varying rarity which can be used as summoned companions.
The game is based on Unreal Engine 3 and is being developed with a console-game style combat system. It features large-scale battles and allows players to summon up to two monsters using the card system during a fight.
While NEXON hasn't declared a monetization style yet, we are guessing that it will be free-to-play. That said... not all things are guaranteed.
