Nexon Drops New Trailer For Upcoming 4-Player Co-Op Game The First Descendant Steam Beta
The trailer arrives just ahead of the game’s upcoming Steam beta test next week.
A Steam beta test is on the way for Nexon’s The First Descendant. The 4-player co-op game will enter the testing phase on Thursday, October 20 and be open to players for almost a week, with the event ending on October 26.
As part of the obligatory hype leading into the testing phase, Nexon dropped a cinematic trailer today, offering would-be players more details on the game’s lore. The trailer explains how humanity was defeated by an alien race known as the Vulgus centuries before. Yet, somehow, there’s still hope – especially since they managed to reawaken a dormant power and fight back against the Vulgus, eventually defeating them. It seems, however, that the Vulgus – or rather their new leader – didn’t take the defeat well, and the war continues. Once again, humans must fight against extinction.
During the beta, players will be able to unlock up to ten characters. Each has unique abilities. There will also be plenty of useful items for players including weapons, grappling hooks, and gear. Content-wise, there will be missions and huge boss fights to take on.
To sign up for the beta, players will need to hit up The First Descendant Steam Page. Those who want to know a bit more about the game and its lore can find all the details on the game’s official site.
