New World Devs talk about the Sandwurm Elite Trial.
An arena has been constructed. The drums have been struck. A poet is present to write your story. Now you await the arrival of the giant Sandwurm Devourer.
In the latest episode of New World: Forged in Aeternum, the devs are talking all about the Sandwurm Elite Trial coming to the game in Season 2. Players will need to work to make the Sandwurm vulnerable, while adds will drop empowering buffs to further rend and weaken the boss. The fight features multiple mechanics to look out for. Be prepared for acid attacks.
The Sandwurm Elite Trial has been live on the New World PTR servers for about a week now, and the feedback provided has helped the MMORPG's devs recognize what they got right and what they need to improve on. The difficulty is being adjusted to be more difficult than what it is on PTR, while some behaviors will be adjusted so that certain strategies are less safe to use. With it being the first 20-person raid in New World the team continues to learn and improve the experience throughout the testing process.
