New World Server Merges January 10

Amazon Games is ramping up for another round of server merges for New World next week, aiming to combine worlds within Central EU, US-East, South America, and Australia. Those worlds will go down on January 10th at noon Eastern Time for at least two hours before merging with their respective new servers.

Like previous server merges, Amazon combed their list of New World servers to determine which should combine based on "average concurrency, active characters, faction population, and more." Their forum post displays several worlds across the regions in question, which have already gone through downtime earlier in the day to prep for next week.

Central EU sees 12 servers merging into seven, ten US-East worlds combing into five, seven within South America joining into three, and Australia merging four servers into two. Once in-game messaging gets posted for the imminent merger of these worlds, players won't be able to transfer or move to one of these servers. As an indicator, there will be a banner at the bottom of your screen letting you know this rule is in effect.
