New World’s PvP Seasonal Servers Are Designed Around “Accessibility And A Respect For Players Time”
The devs have worked to cull grind and allow players to get to high levels swiftly.
A month ago, Amazon announced plans to introduce Seasonal Servers in New World: Aeternum on January 21, with the Season 7 update. At the time, they offered a general overview of the purpose behind these servers which will permanently flag players of the open-world MMORPG for PvP starting at level 15. Today, the developer dropped a Deep Dive post about the Seasonal World PvP, discussing the vision behind it, what went into creating it, and what players can expect from it in terms of rewards.
The post addresses the various things the developers have done to encourage players to join the severs. The post discusses how Ethereal and Conquerors items will work on these servers, such as Ethereal items giving players access to Wrathstones or yielding Ethereal Dust when broken down. The Ethereal Dust is a new resource that is used to discover and unlock new Conquerors gear crafting recipes.
To help players get rolling, XP, weapon mastery and tradeskill XP gains are increased by 25%. In addition, Mount Skill unlocks automatically at level 15 with no quest requirements and the Heartrune equip slot is unlocked by default.
The devs also detail the rewards players can obtain while playing on these servers while not allowing those rewards to impact live servers or their economies. Full details on that as well as information on the endgame can be found in the post on the New World site.
