New World's Next Update, Heart Of Madness, Heads To PTR Tomorrow, Adds New Endgame Instance And Weapon
Blunderbuss is "good companion for bruiser or mage builds."
The next content update for New World, Heart of Madness, will go live later this month, and Amazon's ready to show it off -- and get feedback -- via its public test realm, which throws open its doors tomorrow, March 3.
The primary feature of the update will be Tempest's Heart, which concludes the story of Isabella. It sends players on a journey through "a corrupted dimension of reality through the twisted capital city of Myrkgard" inside Isabella's mind. Tempest's Heart is an endgame expedition for five level 60 players with a Gearscore of 550 or higher.
Also coming in this update is a new weapon, the blunderbuss, which is the first weapon to scale on strength and intelligence, which makes it a "good companion for bruiser or mage builds." It's got two weapon mastery trees, one each meant for short- and medium-range attacks, and comes with a new legendary weapon quest series you can undertake once you've reached level 60 and the maximum skill level with the blunderbuss.
