New World's Late Night Patch Aims To Address "Top Issues" Players Encounter And Restore Outpost Rush
Invulnerability bugs, housing taxes, and AoE magic War exploits are all being swept up.
It's no secret that New World, the MMORPG from Amazon Games, has had its fair share of issues since launch. In fact, Troy "Noobfridge" Blackburn here at MMOBomb was just ranting about some of the more notable bugs and issues in his livestream today. In just a few hours, hopefully, some of his (and other players') main issues will be fixed...if all goes well.
New World will be coming down for maintenance tonight a few hours from the time of this writing, 10 PM PST to be exact. During this time, patch 1.0.4 will be added to the game to address more than just a few issues.
First, and probably foremost, server transfers for the US West server will be reactivates and, if all goes well, other servers will gain their transfer abilities back later on Thursday. Thursday will also see the return of the previously disabled Outpost Rush mode. This will be done in waves so you'll want to check the post to see what time your region is scheduled to gain the mode back, pending any issues that may delay things.
There are a slew of other fixes being added tonight, as well. These include fixes for an AoE magic War exploit that allowed players to capture points while taking no damage by using AoE magic, a taxes issue with the purchase of your level one houses, a faction token cap increase, the removal of the Everfall starting beach to help increase the chances that friends starting out together will end up in the same starting areas, several fixes for invulnerability bugs, and more.
Here's to hoping everything works to plan! Let us know in the morning, New World players!
