New World Fellowship & Fire Is (Finally) Live Today
Players have been waiting... and waiting.
Following some technical issues and a few delays, Fellowship & Fire is finally live in New World. Game Director Scot Lane addressed the delays at the beginning of the latest episode of Forged in Aeternum. Apparently there were some issues with not receiving earned rewards that caused the delays. You can watch the first few minutes of the MMORPG's latest "Forged in Aeternum" video to see the explanation.
While that issue was addressed, some players are logging into live servers today to find their gear missing. Luckily I logged in to a fully clothed character. Some folks are logging in to an episode of "Naked and Afraid".
The main feature of Fellowship & Fire is of course the new Season Pass with both a free and premium track. Players can earn Season XP by completing seasonal activities, leveling them up in the season pass and earning rewards.
Fellowship & Fire also brings a new Expedition to New World, with the new Empyrean Forge located in Great Cleave. Players will pursue the commanders of Sir Loth to stop the flow of mysterious magic deep within a necropolis.
A nice quality-of-life upgrade is the new Gear Set storage, allowing players to save and quickly switch to different loadouts. This should be a huge improvement when running multiple dungeons.
