New World Devs Talk Controller Support, Combat Changes, And More Coming With Season 5

The developers for New World focused on the PTR and the upcoming Season Five. They expressed a commitment to addressing community concerns and fine-tuning gameplay experiences. In the upcoming PTR, there will be the introduction of controller support and combat scripting changes.
Regarding Season 5, Amazon Games mentioned new artifacts and changes to equip load balance. There’s also future plans for quality of life improvements, particularly concerning mana-based weapons. The developers want to make mana feel more valuable while addressing limitations.
Other efforts include improving existing weapons and introducing new ones to the MMORPG. The recent animation and scripting replacements are portrayed as pivotal in streamlining development processes and expanding design possibilities.
