New World Developers Discuss The Lore Of Season 4's Eternal Frost Storyline
This narrative is positively chilling!
Is it cold in here or is it just me?
Amazon Games discussed the lore within New World's Season 4, titled “Eternal Frost.” The narrative has players attempt to thwart the ambitions of a once-loyal Knight of the Round Table turned power-hungry antagonist seeking to plunge the world into eternal winter. One of the new characters includes the Commander of the Frostbound a Celtic warrior once devoted to King Artorius who experienced a falling out and was banished during the Wars of Crimson Madness. Driven by vengeance, he now leads the mutated Varangians known as the Frostbound — allied with Ser Loth to unleash havoc upon Aeternum and beyond.
Accompanying players in their quest is Daichi Saito, a surly fire mage with a Japanese cultural background. Daichi's renegade past as a skilled samurai and his complex relationship with authority make him a particularly unique addition to the Silver Crows. Despite his abrasive personality and deep-seated distrust, Daichi proves to be a powerful and loyal ally. As players delve into the Ancient ruins, confrontations with the Frostbound Commander and interactions with Daichi unfold.
Season 4/Eternal Frost arrives in the MMORPG on December 12.
